We've recently been working on several stories about transfer on death deeds for real estate. A TOD deed allows you to transfer the title of a property into another's name without going through probate.

We've learned that 12 states now accept TOD deeds (or beneficiary deeds). They are:

  1. Arizona
  2. Arkansas
  3. Colorado
  4. Kansas
  5. Minnesota
  6. Missouri
  7. Montana
  8. Nevada
  9. New Mexico
  10. Ohio
  11. Oklahoma
  12. Wisconsin
