Nothing against Exclusive Buyer Agents. They are a very good choice for Home Buyers, however IMO as a former EBA, they are perhaps not the best choice if you need to sell before buying or if you plan to sell sometime in the near future. My reasoning is simple in that EBAs cannot personally work for you as a Seller when it is time for you to move up or to downsize. As the real estate industry continues to be more competitive, it makes a lot more sense and likely more dollars for buyers to select an Accredited and/or Certified Buyer Representative that can also assist with the sale of a home or other real estate. Many Real Estate Brokers like myself are willing to lower their listing and marketing fees to sellers that also use their Buyer Agency Services.
